Summary
PathFinderTG molecular testing system (including PancraGEN) is considered investigational and not covered for all indications, including evaluation of pancreatic cyst fluid and solid pancreaticobiliary lesions. Interpace Diagnostics stopped accepting PancraGEN specimens on February 7, 2025.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must stop submitting claims for PathFinderTG/PancraGEN molecular testing as these are considered investigational and will be denied. Notify providers that PancraGEN testing is no longer available as of February 7, 2025. Update encounter forms to remove these testing options for pancreatic cyst and solid pancreaticobiliary lesion evaluations.
