Summary
Oregon Health Authority is proposing to eliminate mandatory disenrollment from Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs) for members seeking Out-of-Hospital Birth (OOHB) coverage. This allows OHP members to maintain CCO enrollment while accessing OOHB as a fee-for-service benefit for low-risk pregnancies, improving continuity of care across physical, oral, and behavioral health services.
Action Required
By July 31, 2019 at 5 p.m.: Providers and CCO representatives should determine if participation in Rule Advisory Committees (RACs) is desired and email cco2.0rulemaking@dhsoha.state.or.us with specific RAC topics to participate in. By September 24, 2019: Attend the public meeting at 2 p.m. in room 137-D, Human Services Building, 500 Summer Street NE, Salem, Oregon 97301 to engage with OHA Medicaid regarding OOHB reimbursement rates and fee-for-service prior authorization processes. No immediate billing system changes are required at this time as this is a rule-making announcement with future implementation.
