Summary
Oregon Health Plan temporarily allows NEMT (Non-Emergency Medical Transportation) drivers with expired DMV licenses or vehicle registrations to continue serving patients if their credentials expired between March 18, 2020 and October 1, 2020 due to COVID-19 DMV office closures. Providers must track affected drivers and ensure renewal before the moratorium expires.
Action Required
Before October 1, 2020: NEMT coordinators must identify and document all drivers with expired licenses/registrations in patient records, and require affected drivers to renew credentials before moratorium expires.
