Summary
Oregon Health Authority changed the submission timeframe for NEMT accident/incident reports from within 24 hours to within 2 business days of becoming aware of the incident. The policy also specifies the email address for report submission and clarifies that CCOs must submit reports directly, not through subcontractors.
Action Required
This policy applies to Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs) in Oregon, not medical billing teams. If your practice is contracted with Oregon CCOs for NEMT services, ensure any accident/incident reports are submitted to the CCO within their required timeframes so they can meet the 2 business day requirement to OHA.
