Summary
DHS amended the definition of 'Associated Staff' subject to COVID-19 testing requirements in Oregon long-term care facilities. Home health and hospice providers without contractual relationships with facilities are no longer required to undergo DHS-mandated COVID-19 testing as of August 10, 2020.
Action Required
Immediately: Home health and hospice billing teams should verify if their organization has contractual relationships with long-term care facilities. If no contractual relationship exists, staff are exempt from DHS COVID-19 testing requirements. Continue following CDC infection control guidance for vulnerable populations.
