Summary
Oregon Health Authority will now cover flu vaccinations (effective Nov 4, 2021) and FDA-authorized COVID-19 home tests (effective Nov 8, 2021) for CAWEM members during the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency. Providers must bill for flu vaccine administration and serum separately, and obtain prior authorization for COVID-19 home tests.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must update system to bill flu vaccine administration and serum separately for CAWEM members (exclude Vaccines for Children program). Request prior authorization for COVID-19 home tests for CAWEM patients. Counsel CAWEM-eligible patients about new coverage options.
