Summary
Oregon Health Authority now allows Opioid Treatment Programs (OTPs) to operate mobile and satellite medication units to expand access in rural areas. For billing mobile OTP services, providers must use Place of Service code '15' (Mobile Unit).
Action Required
OTPs seeking to add mobile or satellite units must obtain approval from Oregon's State Opioid Treatment Authority (SOTA) before operating. When billing for approved mobile OTP services, billing team must use Place of Service code '15' (Mobile Unit) in billing system.
