Summary
Oregon Health Authority updated fee-for-service billing for community birth services and increased reimbursement rates for newborn bloodspot screening kits. CCO members can now bill for all approved community birth procedures, and screening kit rates increased to align with current program fees.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must update rates for newborn bloodspot screening kits - bill S6320 at $175.00 for 2 specimen kit and S6320 with modifier TC at $100.00 for replacement kit for services on or after 8/1/2022. For community birth services after 9/1/2021, bill according to Planned Community Births Prior Authorization and Billing Guide. Adjust previously submitted claims using Claim Adjustment Handbook procedures.
