Summary

Oregon Health Authority is removing Prepaid Ambulatory Health Plan (PAHP) as a type of Managed Care Organization risk contract from Oregon's Medicaid State Plan. Starting January 1, 2023, dental care organizations will no longer contract directly with OHA, and coordinated care organizations (CCOs) will deliver dental services through their existing networks instead.

Action Required

Action needed
By January 1, 2023: Oregon billing teams must update dental service billing processes to submit claims to coordinated care organizations (CCOs) instead of dental care organizations (DCOs) for Oregon Health Plan members. Update billing system payer configurations and verify CCO network participation for dental providers.
