Summary
Starting October 15, 2022, Oregon Medicaid will no longer accept telephone-only assessments for 1915(i) and Behavioral Health Personal Care Attendant services. All assessments must be conducted in-person or via videoconference to support medical appropriateness and program eligibility.
Action Required
By October 15, 2022: Notify patients receiving 1915(i) or BH PCA services that their assessments will be conducted in-person or via videoconference only. Coordinate with Comagine Health for scheduling assessments using approved methods. Update patient communication protocols to inform them of the assessment format change.
