Summary
Oregon Health Authority is discontinuing billing code S5146 (Therapeutic Foster Care) from the Behavioral Health Fee-For-Service Fee Schedule effective March 1, 2023. Providers can no longer bill this code after that date as the benefit is no longer covered by Medicaid in Oregon.
Action Required
By March 1, 2023: Billing team must stop using code S5146 for therapeutic foster care services. Remove this code from billing software and encounter forms. Refer to current Behavioral Health Fee Schedule for alternative codes for behavioral health services provided to foster care members.
