Summary
Oregon Tribal members with Oregon Health Plan (Medicaid) coverage can now enroll with Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs) for dental-only coverage while keeping fee-for-service coverage for physical and behavioral health. This provides better access to dental providers in regions with limited fee-for-service dental networks.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must update procedures to verify Tribal membership for Oregon Medicaid patients by contacting OHP Provider Services at 800-336-6016 (option 5) or DMAP.ProviderServices@oha.oregon.gov, as the MMIS Provider Portal does not provide Tribal information. For Tribal members with CCOF enrollment, bill dental services to their assigned CCO while continuing to bill physical and behavioral health services through fee-for-service Medicaid.
