Summary
Oregon Health Authority is increasing Medicaid reimbursement rates effective October 1, 2024: default RVU-based professional services increase from $25.48 to $27.11, anesthesia services from $20.78 to $21.12, and clinical laboratory rates from 70% to 80% of Medicare rates. These increases apply to podiatry, chiropractic, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and other practitioner services not already at 80% of Medicare rates.

By October 1, 2024: Billing team must update fee schedules in billing system to reflect new Oregon Medicaid rates - increase default RVU base rate to $27.11, anesthesia base rate to $21.12, and clinical lab rates to 80% of Medicare. Verify system calculates correct reimbursement amounts for podiatry, chiropractic, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and other practitioner services. Monitor for official CMS approval of the State Plan Amendment.
