Summary
Starting November 11, 2024, Oregon Health Authority will no longer accept urgent or expedited prior authorization requests for Behavior Rehabilitation Services (BRS). Providers must use retroactive authorization process for youth needing immediate placement and stop submitting urgent requests entirely.
Action Required
By November 11, 2024: Billing team must stop submitting all urgent BRS prior authorization requests. Use retroactive authorization process for youth requiring immediate placement instead. Download and implement the updated authorization form from OHA's BRS web page. Contact 503-979-8354 or BHMC@oha.oregon.gov with questions. Failure to comply will result in rejection of urgent authorization requests.
