Summary
Starting November 1, 2024, DACA recipients and people with pending asylum claims are now eligible for Oregon Health Plan (OHP) Bridge and Marketplace coverage through OregonHealthCare.gov. This expands coverage eligibility to an estimated 7,900 DACA recipients in Oregon and other qualifying non-citizen groups.

Immediately: Update patient eligibility verification processes to include DACA status and pending asylum claims as qualifying factors for OHP Bridge and Marketplace coverage in Oregon. Train front desk staff to identify these patient populations during registration and direct them to OregonHealthCare.gov or local assistance for enrollment.
