Oregon Health Authority is temporarily deferring enforcement of the 14-day authorization timeframe for Health-Related Social Needs (HRSN) Housing Supports services through January 31, 2025. CCOs cannot deny authorization requests solely due to timeframe expiration during this period.

Through January 31, 2025: Billing teams working with Oregon Medicaid CCO plans should not expect denials for HRSN Housing Supports authorization requests based on timeframe expiration. Continue submitting routine authorization requests as usual but be aware that CCOs have extended processing flexibility during this period.
