Summary
Oregon will add Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC) services to the Medicaid State Plan effective October 1, 2025, replacing the current demonstration program. This enables continued Medicaid coverage for comprehensive behavioral health services including crisis intervention, mental health treatment, substance use services, and integrated care coordination.
Action Required
Before October 1, 2025: Billing teams working with Oregon Medicaid patients should verify CCBHC certification status of behavioral health providers and update billing systems to recognize new CCBHC service categories under rehabilitative services (13.d). Contact Oregon Health Authority to obtain specific billing codes and reimbursement rates for CCBHC bundled services that will be available closer to the effective date.
