Summary
Oregon Health Authority is waiving the requirement to include primary care provider, primary care dentist, or behavioral health professional names on Grievance and Appeals notices for Non-Emergent Medical Transportation (NEMT) services only. This administrative change simplifies notice requirements for NEMT-related appeals.
Action Required
Immediately: For Oregon Medicaid CCO members only, billing and appeals staff should remove the requirement to include PCP, PCD, or BH provider names when creating Grievance and Appeals notices specifically for NEMT services. Update internal notice templates and procedures. This change does not affect other types of medical services appeals.
