Summary
Oregon Health Authority is temporarily extending HRSN (Health-Related Social Needs) service authorization decision timeframes from 7 days to 14 days for requests received between May 1-June 30, 2026. This gives CCOs more time for screenings and allows members additional time to respond to documentation requests.
Action Required
By May 1, 2026: Billing team must update HRSN service authorization workflows to reflect new 14-day decision timeframe (extended from 7 days). Update internal tracking systems and member communication templates to reflect the temporary extended timeline through June 30, 2026. Note that extensions up to 14 additional days are possible under specified circumstances.
