Summary
Due to a cybersecurity incident at Change Healthcare, CareFirst Administrators has severed network connections and requires all providers to immediately switch claims submission methods. Claims must now be submitted through CareFirst's Consolidated Gateway instead of Change Healthcare, and paper claims must be sent to a new Kentucky address instead of the El Paso address.
Action Required
Immediately: Stop submitting claims through Change Healthcare systems. Switch all electronic claims to CareFirst's Consolidated Gateway. Update billing system settings to use new submission method. Resubmit any claims sent through Change Healthcare since February 21, 2024. For paper claims: Stop using El Paso address (P.O. Box 981608 El Paso, TX 79998) and update to new address: P.O. Box 14115 Lexington, KY 40512-4115. Resubmit any paper claims sent to El Paso address after February 21, 2024.
