Summary
CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield is launching a new self-service tool in early April 2024 for providers to attest and update their directory information. Federal law requires professional providers in Commercial and Medicare Advantage networks to attest/update their data every 90 days using this new tool.
Action Required
Before April 2024: All providers in CareFirst Commercial and Medicare Advantage networks must register for the new Provider Directory Updates and Attestation self-service tool. Attend one of the scheduled webinars (March 26, 28, April 3, 4, or 9) or complete the on-demand course in the Learning and Engagement Center. Set up recurring 90-day reminders to attest/update provider directory information as required by Federal law. Failure to maintain current directory information may affect network participation.
