Summary
CareFirst Administrators (CFA) is transitioning to a new platform starting November 1, 2025, which will change member ID cards, claims addresses, and payment processing. Providers will receive payments from both PNC Healthcare (via ECHO Health) and Zelis during the transition period through late 2026.
Action Required
Before November 1, 2025: Billing team must update systems with new CFA claims address (Mail Administrator PO Box 21014 Eagan, MN 55121-0014). Front desk staff must always request updated member ID cards from CFA patients. Set up payment processing for both PNC Healthcare/ECHO Health and Zelis systems during transition. Access echovcards.com/letter using Tax ID and verification code from provider letter to manage payment options. Update eligibility verification processes to use new contact information on member ID cards.
