Summary

Action Required
By June 30, 2020: Providers must complete the two-hour online ACEs screening training and submit the DHCS Trauma Screening Training Attestation form. Billing team must ensure providers have completed training before billing for ACEs screening services after July 1, 2020. Update clinical workflows to use only approved screening tools: PEARLS for ages 0-19 and ACE assessment for adults. Retain all completed screenings in medical records for audit purposes. Claims for ACEs screening will be denied without proper training attestation.
