Summary
Health Net California now requires providers to enter primary insurance information and EOB data online through their provider portal before submitting secondary claims with EOB attachments. This applies to both CMS-1500 and UB-04 claims and requires uploading electronic copies of EOBs.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must update workflow for all Health Net California secondary claims. Before submitting claims with EOB attachments: 1) Log into provider.healthnetcalifornia.com and select Health Net Commercial - CA for IFP members, 2) Enter primary insurance information and diagnosis data under Claims tab, 3) Input all EOB information in the Primary Insurance section, 4) Upload electronic copy of EOB using Primary Carrier EOB dropdown. Update staff training and billing procedures to ensure compliance.
