Summary
CareSource has partnered with Evolent Healthcare to update Advanced Radiology Service policies for Ohio Medicaid members. A new guideline (ECG 7272) for Coronary Artery Calcium Scoring using Electron Beam Computed Tomography (EBCT) or Non-Contrast Coronary Computed Tomography (CCT) becomes effective August 1, 2026, and providers should reference the updated policies on the RadMD portal.

By July 15, 2026: Billing team must review the updated ECG 7272 policy for Coronary Artery Calcium Scoring on the RadMD portal (https://www1.radmd.com/radmd-home.aspx) to understand any new coverage criteria, prior authorization requirements, or billing guidelines for Ohio Medicaid members. Update billing protocols and inform providers of any changes to ordering or documentation requirements. Failure to comply with updated guidelines may result in claim denials for non-compliant submissions.
