Summary
Starting June 17, 2021, all Community-Based Adult Services (CBAS) notifications and prior authorizations must be submitted through the provider portal only - fax submissions will no longer be accepted. Notifications are required for 1-5 visits per week, while prior authorization is required for more than 5 visits per week.
Action Required
By June 17, 2021: Billing team must stop submitting CBAS notifications and prior authorizations via fax and transition to using the Health Net provider portal exclusively. Update workflow procedures to use portal for notifications (1-5 visits/week) and prior authorizations (>5 visits/week). Attend webinar trainings available in May 2021. Fax submissions will be rejected after the effective date.
