Summary
Health Net now requires all newly contracting Medi-Cal providers to complete mandatory training and submit a signed attestation form to become active in their system. Staff cannot sign on behalf of providers, and providers cannot waive the training requirement.
Action Required
For newly contracting Medi-Cal providers: 1) Complete required provider training by accessing materials at Health Net's provider website under Resources > New Provider Medi-Cal Welcome Packet, 2) Provider (not staff) must personally sign and return the training attestation form to activate status in Health Net's system, 3) PPGs performing credentialing must ensure their newly contracting providers complete these steps.
