Summary
Health Net requires participating physician groups (PPGs) and hospitals with Medi-Cal contracts in specific California counties to annually submit lists of their contracted ground emergency medical transportation (GEMT) providers. This helps identify non-contracted GEMT providers for automated payments under the quality assurance fee program.
Action Required
By March 31 annually (starting 2022): PPGs and hospitals with Medi-Cal global/dual risk arrangements must compile and submit a list to their assigned Provider Relations & Contracting Specialist including: provider name, provider type (PPG or Hospital), risk type (Dual or Global), GEMT provider name, and GEMT NPI number. This only affects providers in Kern, Los Angeles, Riverside, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tulare counties.
