Summary
A new COVID-19 Vaccine measure has been added to the HEDIS Monthly Care Gap Report to help providers identify unvaccinated members in Medi-Cal populations. Providers can use this data to proactively reach out to members who need COVID-19 vaccination, with vaccination status tracked through the California Immunization Registry (CAIR).

Immediately: Primary care providers should access the monthly HEDIS Care Gap Report through the provider portal or Cozeva platform to identify unvaccinated members. Compare vaccine-eligible members (>5 years old) in enrollment files to the COVID-19 Vaccine measure to find members needing outreach. Continue entering all COVID-19 vaccinations into CAIR in a timely manner to ensure accurate reporting. PCPs who don't receive reports should contact their PPG to request access.
