Summary
CalViva Health providers in Fresno, Kings, and Madera counties must prepare to submit medical records if selected for the annual Encounter Data Validation study starting February 2023. Datafied will contact selected providers to schedule medical records retrieval for DHCS validation of encounter data from January 1 - December 31, 2020.
Action Required
When contacted by Datafied (starting February 2023): Retrieve and submit requested medical records as soon as possible after receiving notice. Include records for specific requested dates of service from 2020, plus one additional DOS (not laboratory, DME, or inpatient). Submit chart/visit progress notes, patient registration/demographic page, and completed tracking sheet. If unable to submit records, select a non-submission reason. Billing teams should establish workflow to quickly respond to Datafied requests to meet submission deadlines.
