Health Net providers in select California counties may be contacted by Datafied starting in February to provide medical records for the annual DHCS Encounter Data Validation study. Selected providers must submit specific medical records from 2020 dates of service within the deadline provided by Datafied.

When contacted by Datafied: Immediately retrieve and submit requested medical records for specific 2020 dates of service plus one additional DOS (not lab, DME, or inpatient). Include chart/progress notes, patient demographic page, and completed tracking sheet by the deadline provided. If records cannot be submitted, select a non-submission reason. Billing and medical records teams should prepare processes for rapid response to Datafied requests.
