Summary
Participating Physician Groups (PPGs) in California must now coordinate full translation of Medi-Cal Notice of Action letters into members' preferred languages, including all clinical rationale. Health Net will cover translation costs when PPGs use the required pre-translated templates and Akorbi translation vendor through their secure portal.
Action Required
Immediately: PPGs delegated for Medi-Cal utilization management must set up Health Net-specific accounts with Akorbi translation vendor if not already established. Use only current Health Net pre-translated NOA templates from www.iceforhealth.org and submit translation requests through Akorbi Plunet portal with sufficient time to meet member notification requirements. Maintain logs of all Medi-Cal authorizations requiring translation for annual compliance audits.
