Summary
Health Net has added Emergency Remote Services (ERS) to the CBAS program, allowing community-based adult services to be provided in alternative settings during public or personal emergencies. CBAS providers must now obtain prior approval from California Department of Aging and submit CEIF forms to Health Net within 3 days of starting ERS.
Action Required
Within 3 days of starting ERS: CBAS providers must complete and fax the CBAS ERS Initiation Form (CEIF) to Health Net CBAS Department at 833-581-5908. Billing team must ensure proper documentation of medical necessity and emergency circumstances. Do not attach other CBAS requests to CEIF forms - submit separately.
