Summary
Medi-Cal providers delivering home health care, personal care services, therapy services, and other in-home services must register with the Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system before submitting claims. Claims will not be processed without EVV registration and compliance for these services.
Action Required
Immediately: Providers delivering home health care services, personal care services, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, infusion services, day habilitation programs, respite services, or CBAS-ERS programs in patients' homes must register with the CalEVV system at DHCS Electronic Visit Verification Phase II portal. Complete the CalEVV Provider Self-Registration Form before submitting any claims for these services. Billing team must verify EVV registration is complete for all applicable providers. Claims will be denied if providers are not registered and compliant with EVV requirements.
