Summary
The Acute Hospital Care at Home Program ended on May 11, 2023, and will NOT extend through 2024 as previously communicated. DHCS has retracted the policy that would have extended the program through December 31, 2024.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must stop processing any claims for the Acute Hospital Care at Home Program as of May 11, 2023. Remove any billing workflows or system configurations related to this program extension. Discard any copies of provider update 23-788 regarding program extension through 2024.
