Summary
Health Net providers who served California Health & Wellness Plan members in 2022 must prepare to submit medical records if selected for the annual Encounter Data Validation study. Starting in February, Datafied will contact selected providers to schedule medical record retrievals for specific dates of service from 2022.
Action Required
Starting February 2025: If contacted by Datafied, providers must immediately retrieve and submit medical records for requested 2022 dates of service including: chart/visit progress notes showing DOS and service descriptions, patient registration/demographic page, records for an additional DOS closest to requested date (excluding lab, DME, or inpatient), and completed tracking sheet. Billing team should prepare by organizing 2022 CHWP member records for quick retrieval and ensure compliance to avoid EDV study penalties.
