Summary
Health Net Community Solutions providers who served California Health & Wellness Plan members in 2022 must be prepared to provide medical records if selected for the annual Encounter Data Validation study starting February 2024. Datafied will contact selected providers to schedule medical record retrievals to validate encounter data accuracy for DHCS.
Action Required
If contacted by Datafied starting February 2024: Medical records staff must retrieve and submit requested medical records from 2022 within the deadline provided by Datafied. Include records for specific dates of service, chart/visit progress notes, patient demographics, records for an additional DOS (excluding lab/DME/inpatient), and completed tracking sheet. If records cannot be provided, select a non-submission reason. Failure to comply with record requests may affect encounter data validation.
