Summary
Effective January 8, 2024, California's Acute Hospital Care at Home program has been permanently discontinued and hospitals can no longer apply for waivers or provide at-home acute care services under this program. This ends a COVID-19 era program that allowed certain hospital-level care to be delivered in patients' homes.
