Summary
The Child Health and Disability Program (CHDP) is being phased out on June 30, 2024, with services transitioning to other Medi-Cal delivery systems. The CHDP Gateway will be renamed to Children's Presumptive Eligibility (CPE), and provider training will now be conducted by Health Net on behalf of CalViva Health.
Action Required
By June 30, 2024: Active CHDP providers must complete and pass the CPE computer-based training on the Medi-Cal Learning Portal to access the new CPE portal. After July 1, 2024: Update billing workflows to reference Children's Presumptive Eligibility (CPE) instead of CHDP Gateway for presumptive eligibility determinations.
