Immediately: Contact your bank representative to add real-time payment codes (BAI codes 158, 159, 399) to transaction reports. Coordinate with clearinghouse to ensure 835 files route properly to your TIN. Consult Epic account manager if using Epic cash management tools to understand how real-time payments display. Update reconciliation processes to identify same-day payments but process them the same as other electronic payments.
