Summary
Health Net now requires providers offering in-home services (home health, personal care, respite services, etc.) to register for and use the Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system to track visits. This is a new federally mandated requirement to reduce fraud and abuse.
Action Required
Immediately: Providers offering in-home services must register at the California Provider Self-Registration Portal for EVV system access. For each in-home visit, capture and transmit six mandatory data components: service type, patient receiving service, service date, location, provider delivering service, and start/end times. Contact Community Health Plan of Imperial Valley at 833-236-4141 for questions. Failure to comply will result in DHCS compliance alerts and potential service restrictions.
