Summary
FQHCs, RHCs, and Tribal Health Programs can now receive additional Medi-Cal FFS reimbursement for dyadic care services (behavioral health services for children under 21 and their caregivers) delivered on the same day, in addition to their standard PPS payment. The policy also expands eligible providers to include physicians and psychiatrists for dyadic services billing.
Action Required
Immediately: FQHC, RHC, and Tribal Health Program billing teams must update billing systems to capture additional Medi-Cal FFS reimbursement for dyadic care services provided on the same day as standard services. Review the Dyadic Services Billing Examples PDF for proper coding and billing procedures. Add physicians and psychiatrists to the list of eligible providers for dyadic services in billing software.
