26-256 Avoid Penalties: Complete Implicit Bias Training Now

Immediately: All physicians and practitioners involved in perinatal care must complete mandatory implicit bias training if not already done or if refresher is due. Ensure training completion is documented with facility education department or leadership so facility can report compliance to California Attorney General. New perinatal providers must complete training within 6 months of employment, all others need refresher training every 2 years. Non-compliance can result in facility penalties of $5,000 for first violation and $15,000 for subsequent violations.
