Summary
Starting July 2026, the Monthly Membership Report Detail (MMRD) data file will expand Risk Adjustment Factor fields from 7 to 8 bytes for Medicare Advantage payment calculations. Participating Physician Groups will receive the updated file layout on June 22, 2026.
Action Required
By June 22, 2026: Billing team must review and implement the updated MMRD data file layout that will be sent by the plan. Update any internal systems or processes that handle capitation payment tracking and risk adjustment data to accommodate the expanded 8-byte field format for Risk Adjustment Factors A and B. Contact Capitation Department if assistance is needed with implementation.
