Summary
Eligible Professionals scheduled to attest to Meaningful Use Stage 1 under Modified Stage 2 requirements can now use alternative measures with lower thresholds and exclusions for certain EHR objectives they weren't originally required to meet. This provides accommodations for providers who weren't scheduled for Stage 2 but are now subject to Modified Stage 2 criteria.
Action Required
Immediately: Providers participating in the EHR Incentive Program should contact the EHR Helpdesk at 1-855-313-6638 or email ctmedicaid-ehr@hpe.com to confirm which stage they are scheduled to attest to for Program Year 2015. If scheduled for Stage 1, review available alternative measures and exclusions for Modified Stage 2 requirements using the CMS resources provided.
