Connecticut Medicaid (HUSKY Health) has updated clinic fee schedules for 2016 HCPCS compliance, including specific code changes for family planning (J7302 discontinued, replaced with J7297 for Liletta and J7298 for Mirena), rehabilitation (CPT 92543 discontinued, replaced with 92537 and 92538), and behavioral health (discontinuing payment for CPT 96110, 96111, and 96127). All affected clinics must update their billing systems and use the new fee schedules available on the Connecticut Medical Assistance Program website.
Action Required
By January 1, 2016: Billing teams at affected clinic types must download updated fee schedules from www.ctdssmap.com and update billing systems with new codes. Family planning clinics must stop using J7302 and begin using J7297 for Liletta and J7298 for Mirena. Rehabilitation clinics must replace CPT 92543 with 92537 (bithermal caloric vestibular test) or 92538 (monothermal caloric vestibular test). Behavioral health clinics must stop billing CPT 96110, 96111, and 96127 as these will no longer be reimbursed. Update encounter forms and billing software rules accordingly.
