Summary
CMS has created an alternative attestation method for certain Medicaid EHR Incentive Program providers who may not qualify for Medicaid but need to avoid Medicare payment adjustments. These providers can now attest through the Medicare EHR Registration and Attestation System instead of their state Medicaid website.
Action Required
By February 29, 2016: Eligible providers who previously received Medicaid EHR incentives but may not qualify in subsequent years should attest through the Medicare EHR Registration and Attestation System to avoid Medicare payment adjustments.
