Summary
Eligible professionals must complete Medicare alternate attestation for Meaningful Use by March 8, 2016 to avoid Medicare payment adjustments in 2016. EPs attesting to Medicaid AIU (Adopt, Implement, Upgrade) for Program Year 2015 may still be subject to Medicare payment adjustments since AIU does not qualify as meeting Meaningful Use requirements.

By March 8, 2016: Eligible professionals subject to Medicare payment adjustments must complete Medicare alternate attestation through the CMS Registration and Attestation (R&A) system. Contact CMS at 1-888-734-6433 for Medicare questions or Mike Flynn at Michael.flynn@ct.gov for Connecticut Medicaid EHR questions. EPs will need to re-attest to CT Medicaid EHR program when MAPIR opens on May 31, 2016. Failure to meet the March 11 deadline will result in Medicare payment adjustments.
