Action Required
By March 30, 2016: Billing team must update system to accept pharmacist NPIs as prescribing providers for naloxone claims submitted to Connecticut Medicaid. Ensure only covered naloxone products (Narcan 4mg Nasal Spray NDC 69547-0353-02 and covered naloxone syringes) are billed. Do not submit claims for nasal atomization devices or Evzio when prescribed by pharmacists as these will be denied.
