Summary
Connecticut Medicaid is implementing a new Ambulatory Payment Classification (APC) payment methodology for outpatient hospital claims effective July 1, 2016. A mandatory workshop is being offered on June 17, 2016 to train hospital billing providers on the new Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) and associated billing changes.

By June 14, 2016: Hospital billing teams must register for the mandatory Connecticut Medicaid APC workshop scheduled for June 17, 2016. Register online at the provided SurveyMonkey link and download HPMyRoom software for virtual attendance. Provide valid email address for training instructions. Contact Provider Assistance Center at 1-800-842-8440 with questions. Failure to attend may result in billing errors and claim denials under the new APC methodology starting July 1, 2016.
